Check-in and Check-out Procedures

  • Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 10am.
  • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.

Property Access

  • Guests will not have access to park their vehicles inside the garage.
  • The downstairs area of the detached garage is not accessible to guests.

Policies and Rules

  • No smoking allowed.
  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • This home is not pet friendly. No pets allowed.

Fees and Payments

  • Firewood may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a fire starter for $25/night.
  • All reservations are subject to a $500 refundable security deposit.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
  • Guests returning to Ponderosa 1887 may receive a discount of 5%, not to be combined with other discounts to the room rent.

  • Free parking is available. Garage parking is not accessible to guests.

  • There is a starter set of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
  • Hair dryer provided.

Safety and Emergency Information

  • Smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector present.
  • The owners of this home use security cameras to monitor the exterior of their home to ensure it remains safe when unoccupied and ensure guests are following the rules. No cameras are aimed at the bedrooms, doors, or windows.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
